The resort Großschönau is a weaver's village with 300-year-old tradition and very modern textile industry still running today. Situated in the attractive Mandau valley, with an excellent view of an area with about 300 Upper Lusatians half timbered houses in which once 1000 looms done their work.
 The German damask and rubbing museum as well as the motorcycle and technology museum are especially worth seeing.
The "Trixi Park Zittauer Gebirge" offers pure family pleasure. A settlement with summer cottages, a camping place and leisure facilities present a relaxing atmosphere. The indoor water park is open all year round and in the summer the outdoor swimming pool is also open, with 20,000 square meters of water surface.
